236 HURUMZI

236 Hurumzi is the second tallest building in Stone Town Zanzibar; the hotel has been restored to its former glory when it was the residence of one of the richest men in the Swahili Empire. An integral part of the skyline of Zanzibar, along with mosque minarets, Hindu temple towers, and church spires, is the Tower Top restaurant of 236 Hurumzi. Clove Hotel is a pleasant quality B&B hotel ideally situated in the centre of Zanzibar Stone Town just behind the House of Wonders, a short walk from the sea and the Forodhani gardens.

MARUHUBI BEACH VILLAS

Maruhubi Beach Villas is situated on the seafront, just five minutes drive north of Zanzibar Stone Town between the famous Maruhubi Palace Grounds and the lush, tropical gardens of Mtoni Marine Centre. The restaurant and rooms have spectacular views west across the sea to Chapwani and Changuu Islands and south to Stone Town. There is a seafront restaurant complimented with a fully stocked bar.

The six stone built villas all have excellent sea and river views. Each villa has two comfortable air-conditioned bedrooms and en suite bathrooms. The spacious bedrooms have large Zanzibari beds (mosquito netted) and ample cupboard space with the verandas having comfortable loungers from which to enjoy the sea views. MBWENI RUINS

Mbweni Ruins Hotel is part of the Adventure Camps group of exclusive properties. Set in botanic gardens by the ocean, the hotel is 10 minutes from Stone Town or from the Airport.
