(Luxury Permanent tented camp)
Location
Tamarind Camp is a safari camp located on a privately owned concession just 15 minutes from the entrance to Tarangire National Park. Perfectly positioned in a grove of beautiful Acacia Tortilis trees and recently completely renewed, the camp is set in 200 acres of Acacia woodland and bush, right on the boundary of the Park.
Camps and Tents
The Camp is limited to just 10 luxuriously comfortable tents with en-suite bathrooms and exquisite handcrafted hardwood furnishings. The tents are extremely well spread out and mostly face the adjacent Park boundary, marked only by a tree-lined "sand river". Zebra and wildebeest are often to be seen grazing on the nearby plains and elephant and lion frequent the area around camp, as well as being regular visitors inside the camp itself!
Facilities:
• A custom-made, locally furnished, insect-proof dining tent for breakfast, lunch and romantic, candlelit dinners!
• A sunshade area
• A campfire area
• Complete privacy
• Night game drives
• Cultural interaction with, and tours of, the village of Mswakini, which is in part supported by the camp.
