The Robanda Safari Camp is situated in the Serengeti, just 2 kilometers (actually1.8) from the Ikoma Bush Camp. Built right in the path of the wildebeest migration, Robanda Safari Camp is built on a prime location for an unforgettable bush experience. There is a high animal concentration year round though, with big herds of wildebeest and zebra, elephant and giraffe. Other animal species include lion, hyena, gazelle, topi, buffalo,... Location Robanda Safari Camp, Serengeti. The Camp is a so-called "semi-permanent tented camp" in Ikoma Game Controlled Area, just outside but bordering Serengeti national park. Robanda Safari Camp is located just outside Serengeti Ikoma Gate.
Accommodation Robanda Safari Camp is an intimate place with a total of only 10 tents. There are currently 5 “luxury” and 5 "bush style" permanent tents.The luxury tents are very spacious, with either double or twin beds and annex bathroom. The private verandah looking out over the Serengeti plains.The "bush style" tents are in fact large mobile tents, which have been put up in a permanent way. Each tent has its own private bathroom with bush shower and toilet.
Game drives Excellent game drives are possible in the area, as well as "walking safaris" and night safaris. Wildebeest Migration This location was carefully chosen so as to be right in the path of the wildebeest migration. The best time to witness this spectacular migration is from May to August and from October to December.
