Migunga Tented Camp is nestled in a quiet corner on the northwest of of Lake Manyara, at Lake Manyara National Park, which spreads out across the Great East African Rift Valley, dominating a vast landscape. Migunga is nestled away in a quiet corner of 35 acres of acacia forest. Often referred to as Tanzania's water wonderland due to the large number of bird life and animals the lake supports, Lake Manyara National Park is also famous for its' tree-climbing lions.

At Migunga you wake up in the morning with the beams of the sun finding their way through the Migunga trees. In the afternoon you can enjoy a mountain bike ride trail through Lake Manyara’s backyard or you can enjoy watching the vervet monkeys. The evenings are resonating with the typical sounds of forest creatures.

Location
The camp is located north west of Lake Manyara, 5 minutes away from the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park.

Accommodation
Migunga consists of 19 semi-luxury permanent tents on raised platforms with attached bathrooms and private veranda. The camp benefited from an upgrade which consisted of the addition of 11 new en suite spacious Meru tents and a new wood and thatch main building which houses the restaurant, bar and reading area. All the tents are discreetly placed around a central glade, offering shade and privacy but still only a short walk to the restaurant and bar.
