Location • Kensington Serengeti Wilderness Camp is a Luxury tented camp in Serengeti, W. Corridor, Kirawira area near the Grumeti River. • Kensington Ngorongoro Crater Camp is a Luxury tented camp, tucked away on outside slopes of the crater on a wooded ridge on a private coffee farm adjacent to the NCCA reserve boundary, 20 minutes off road & 4minutes on tarmac to the main Lodoale gate. • Maasai Mara, Kensington is a Luxury tented camp in Mara West (Kenya) spectacularly perched on the ridge of the Oloololo escarpment on the Western edge of the Mara Reserve, looking straight down onto the teeming herds below on the Maasai Plains.
Accommodation Kensington Serengeti Wilderness Camp offers 10 luxury tents. The ‘Suswa’ tents have been meticulously spread under the shade of the towering Marula trees in a grove not far from the Grumeti River, where huge crocodiles await their nervous prey. Tended to by the attentive staff, guests can wind down and reflect on the sights and sounds over soothing sundowner drinks with unforgettable views of the setting sun. After dinner, guests often retire to the campfire. Kensington's Portfolio of facilities feature rich and inviting touches – headboards, lamps, local art and hand carvings. Each expansive tent features five areas. The spacious bedroom features two queen beds and oversized windows which fill the rooms with cooling breezes. The dressing room is fitted with a ceramic sink, hand carved wooden counter and large mirror as well as a private water closet with flush toilet and large shower room. Hot and cold running water, allow guests to freshen up and unwind. Electric lights shine in every tent and the camps are equipped with 220V plugs for charging batteries and other devices. Outside, the open veranda is shaded with comfortable seating. The ideal setting to savor a cool drink or spot of tea as you watch the 'theatre of the wild'. Dining Enjoy delicious Pan-African and traditional bush cuisine. Three main meals are served daily under a large canvas dining tent overlooking beautiful scenery. Each day is culminated with a five course dinner complete with coffee or tea under the stars or by the camp fire. The chefs gladly observe any special dietary preferences and often cater to additional dining requests by clients. For instance, weather permitting; meals can be individually served on your own veranda or at other picturesque locations. Picnic meals are prepared for full day game drives and sun-downers are also arranged for clients on request. These provide an engaging view of the landscape and wildlife as you unwind from the day.
Activities and Attractions In addition to arguably the world’s best game viewing, there are a range of additional engaging activities available to guests at each of the camps. These include: Maasai Nature and Cultural Walks - Take a walk with a Maasai guide and explore the region in the company of its ancestral caretakers. Whether it is a short walk to a nearby Maasai village, a visit to a Hippo pool or a spectacular sunset hike, guests can take this rare opportunity to experience the wilderness while trekking on foot. Intimate Fireside Gatherings - In the evening the staff light a fire to warm a semi-circle of chairs that look across the diverse and magnificent vistas of the three camps. Join in this century old tradition and share game viewing stories or experience the ancient wisdom of the Maasai. This event is the soul of Africa. Hot Air Balloon Excursions - Experience a dawn ride over the plains. The balloon will soar up for a panoramic view of the park and sweep down for amazing close ups of the animals below. Finish with a freshly prepared champagne breakfast right in the middle of the game park. Children Policy • Kids sharing a tent with adults go free! • Infants under 2 years are not permitted in camps, children under 12 years stay at the discretion of the camp manager and at the parents own risk.
