The Coral Reef, a very simple framed resort which is suitable for an informal clientele of any age. The Resort is situated on a long hillside marvelously overlooking the sea and offers a splendid view of the Ocean.

Location
It is located in Pwani Mchangani, on the north eastern coast of the island, about an hour from the capital city of Stone Town and easy accessible. It is about 45 minutes of transfer from the airport to asphalt roads.

Accommodation
The 60 rooms, subdivided into standard and superior rooms, are furnished in a local style. All of the rooms are situated within the natural circumstances in which it is found and they overlook the splendid beach with fine white sand surrounded by coconut palm. Each room has its own entrance with a small private equipped veranda, bathroom with a shower, Zanzibar style beds with mosquito nets and a typical styled ceiling.

Beach

The beach is equipped with sun loungers, sun umbrellas in a typical “makuti” style and provides you with towels (with a depoist). For your enjoyment you may also find beach volley, five-a-side and lawn bowling organized on the same beach. Single or double canoes are also available for the clients of the resort.

Swimming Pool
The pool is located close to the beach, surrounded by coconut palm trees, where you can play ping pong and surf the internet free of charge for those that love to bring their computers on holiday.

The staff also organizes beach volley games and morning muscle wake up exercises during the week that helps to relax the guests of the resort.

It is possible to practice diving, snorkeling and kite surfing at the diving club located at about 5 km from the Resort.

The resort has a private bus at the clients disposition that can be used for any type of excursion by land that may take them to all of the most beautiful places on the island.

For the snorkeler lovers and those that love deep sea fishing, the nautical club (Fishing Zanzibar Club) which is situated within the resort provides boats and special equipment for snorkeling on the wonderful coral reef of the Mnemba Atoll. With regard to fishing, that of deep sea or jiggin, you may go to sea with professional Shimano fishing gear Rapala, Mod Carft, Wiliasom and Italian Lures (from August to October it is the Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo and Carangidi season, and the Marlin season runs through November to March).

All of the above mentioned sports and/or excursions may be tried thanks to a special program that is offered at the sales point located within the resort.

Medical Service
Medical assistance which has to be paid if used is available to the hotel’s clients situated in the medical clinic.
