ITINERARY AT A GLANCE

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Arusha
You will be met at the airport by your Driver/Guide and our representative. We will take you to your hotel in Arusha, Serena Mountain Village for a free day. Your Safari starts tomorrow. (HB)


Day 2 - Tarangire
Your Safari starts with the drive to Tarangire National Park. After breakfast, you will depart by road to your first tented camp, situated along the boundary of Tarangire National Park. Tarangire, Tanzania’s third largest national park is known for it’s majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The park supports a great diversity of wildlife, especially during the dry season of July to November, when the Tarangire River provides the only permanent water supply in the area. During this season wildlife, including up to 6.000 elephants concentrate along the river. Afternoon game drive. Return to the camp for dinner & overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge. (All meals included)


Day 3 - Manyara
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo and others. Lunch at your camp, afternoon game drive. Return to the Camp for dinner & overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge. (All meals included)

Day 3 - Ngorongoro
After Early breakfast, drive into Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. Return for Lunch at the Camp. Afternoon drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with an opportunity to view the crater at the view point. Arrival at the lodge. The rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge or a lodge at Karatu. (All meals included)


Day 4 - Ngorongoro
After Breakfast, Drive (with picnic lunch) into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day game drive inside the cater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, to name a few. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. Lunch at the picnic site. Late afternoon ascend the crater to your lodge for. Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. (All meals included).

Day 5 - Serengeti
After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National Park. A picnic lunch will be provided. On the way you will stop at the Olduvai Gorge where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originated in Africa. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a ‘kopje’ (rock outcropping) in Serengeti you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive. Overnight at the Serengeti Serena Lodge or Similar. (All meals included)

Day 6 - Serengeti
A full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds, to name a few. Overnight in Serengeti, Serengeti Serena Lodge or Similar. (All meals included)

Day 7 – Arusha - Zanzibar
After breakfast, transfer to Seronera airstrip, for your direct flight from the Serengeti to Zanzibar (short stopover in Arusha). Transfer to the beach hotel - Mapenzi Beach Club (All Inclusive)


(Note: If you want to stay at a 5 star hotel, we recommend the Blue Bay Beach Resort, La Gemma dell'Est, Ocean Paradise Resort, the Matemwe Retreat and Z-Hotel).


Day 8 -11 - Zanzibar ( 4 nights at the beach!)
Relax and enjoy the endless beaches of Zanzibar while staying in your beach hotel. There is a wide range of water sport activities you can do, like snorkeling, scuba diving, boat trips and more. Mapenzi Beach Resort (All Inclusive).


Day 12 – Zanzibar ( Stone Town)
After breakfast transfer to the Dhow Palace in ‘Stone Town’. On the way we will do the famous ‘Spice Tour’: We have developed a special ‘Spice Tour’ with in depth information not only about spices, but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description about their traditional uses in medicine cosmetics and cooking. Dinner at the Stone Town - The Seyyida Hotel & Spa. (BB)


Day 13 - Zanzibar ( Stone Town)
Today we will show you ‘Stone Town’ on our historical Stone Town Tour. This tour takes you through fabled ‘Stone Town’, where history appears to stand still. With visits to the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People's Palace), Dr Livingstone's House and the Arab Fort amongst others, it is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. You will see Zanzibar's bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques! Dinner at the Stone Town -The Seyyida Hotel & Spa. (BB)

Day 14 - Departure
Departure to airport for your flight back home or extension of your holiday.

Please note that we only organise private Safaris, only you and your travel partner(s) will be in the transfers, tours and the Safari vehicle! We can organise this tour for you for any date!
