This affordable 14 days private Tanzania Safari combines northern Tanzania's wildlife experience with the culture of Zanzibar's Stone Town and its fantastic beaches. Visit Tanzania’s most famous National Parks for 6 days like Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the famous Serengeti National Park , relax in your beach hotel after a flight from the Serengeti to Zanzibar and explore endless beaches on exotic Zanzibar Island. The package starts in Arusha and ends in Zanzibar. You will be accommodated in Safari Lodges while on Safari. All Safaris are private and are organised exclusively for you and your travel partners. You will be allocated a safari vehicle and driver who will be solely at your disposal for the duration of your safari in Tanzania. ITINERARY AT A GLANCE
Day by Day Itinerary Day 1 - Arusha You will be met at the airport by your Driver/Guide and our representative. We will take you to your hotel in Arusha East African Hotel for a free day. Your Safari starts tomorrow. (All meals included) Day 2 - Tarangire Your Safari starts with the drive to Tarangire National Park. After breakfast, you will depart by road to your first tented camp, situated along the boundary of Tarangire National Park. Tarangire, Tanzania’s third largest national park is known for it’s majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The park supports a great diversity of wildlife, especially during the dry season of July to November, when the Tarangire River provides the only permanent water supply in the area. During this season wildlife, including up to 6.000 elephants concentrate along the river. Afternoon game drive. Return to the camp for dinner & overnight at Tarangire River Camp. (All meals included) Day 3 - Manyara After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo and others. Lunch at your camp, afternoon game drive. Return to the Camp for dinner & overnight at Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge. (All meals included) Day 4 - Ngorongoro After Early breakfast, drive into Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. Return for Lunch at the Camp. Afternoon drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with an opportunity to view the crater at the view point. Arrival at the lodge. The rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge or a lodge at Karatu. (All meals included) Day 5 - Ngorongoro After Breakfast, Drive (with picnic lunch) into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day game drive inside the cater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, to name a few. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. Lunch at the picnic site. Late afternoon ascend the crater to your lodge for. Overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge. (All meals included). Day 6 - Serengeti After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National Park. A picnic lunch will be provided. On the way you will stop at the Olduvai Gorge where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originated in Africa. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a ‘kopje’ (rock outcropping) in Serengeti you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive. Overnight at the Seronera Wildlife Lodge or Similar. (All meals included) Day 7 - Serengeti A full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds, to name a few. Overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge. (All meals included) Day 8 -11 - Zanzibar (4 nights at the private island!) After breakfast, transfer to Seronera airstrip, for your direct flight from the Serengeti to Zanzibar (short stopover in Arusha). Boat transfer to the to the private island. Relax and enjoy the beach of Zanzibar, while staying in your private island resort. There is a wide range of water sport activities (not included in the cost) you can do, like snorkeling, scuba diving, boat trips and more. all Meals and overnights at Changuu Island Resort (or Bawe Tropical Island) Day 12 – Zanzibar ( Stone Town) After breakfast transfer to the Dhow Palace in ‘Stone Town’. On the way we will do the famous ‘Spice Tour’: We have developed a special ‘Spice Tour’ with in depth information not only about spices, but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description about their traditional uses in medicine cosmetics and cooking. Dinner at the Dhow Palace. Day 13 - Zanzibar ( Stone Town) Today we will show you ‘Stone Town’ on our historical Stone Town Tour. This tour takes you through fabled ‘Stone Town’, where history appears to stand still. With visits to the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People's Palace), Dr Livingstone's House and the Arab Fort amongst others, it is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. You will see Zanzibar's bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques! Dinner at the Dhow Palace Alternatively: you can do a boat tour of ‘Prison Island’, the ‘Safari Blue’ or a private island trip (full day, extra costs). Day 14 - Departure Departure to airport for your flight back home or extension of your holiday. END OF SERVICE
